We will begin with the good, and that would be my weekend.
Heck, my weekends are always good... cause I'M NOT AT WORK!! You know this! :)
Anyhow...
I did a little baby sitting on Saturday morning... My g/f Barb's hubby is coming home this Wednesday from being stuck on a ship for the past 9 months. She needed a Mani/Pedi, and just some alone wooo saaahhh time!! I was happy to help out!!
Her kiddo's and I had fun chasing Mac around and playing with bugs in the backyard... but I tired easily... 3 year olds have SO much energy! :) Can't believe I couldn't keep up!
I managed to learn a few tricks to wind them down so I could catch my breath!
...first...
Give a baby a remote, and they'll relax and love you forever.
[he's too cute]
&
...second...
Toddlers love big lovable dogs... and can be completely entertained just by sitting next to one.
[so sweet]
Thank you Mac for helping me babysit... your the BEST! :)
After sitting we headed to the beach!
While we were there...M. managed to pull off a BIG beach No-NO.
He had no idea that feeding the seagulls was a BAD IDEA... "I was like BABE.... WHAT ARE YOU DOING- CRAZY??!"
I didn't want to get S.'d on, and I am pretty sure our beach neighbors would rather had not either.. :) Not to mention once you feed those darn things and they NEVER leave... they stick around and annoy the crap out of you, and crap on you!!! YUK!
Feeding seagulls is a big NO-NO... in case (like my hubby)... you hadn't got the memo!! :) haha
We got back to the casa, and started working on the welcome home sign for Barb's man... I love home comings!!! They are SO much fun!
Jordan helped us out with the hand prints. She knew she was making the sign for her daddy, but she still hasn't grasped the idea that he is REALLY coming home soon!
Wish I could be there to see her face when he picks her up from school this Wednesday!!!
Now, for the not so fun. (The B A D) = This morning :(
M. had to be out the door EARLY to head out to the field.... as soon as we said our goodbyes, he comes waltzing straight back in the door to drop a BOMB on me.
He explained that he forgot to lock his truck last night.... AND that someone broke in.
They jacked a very expensive navigation/audio/DVD system... his iPod and a few other misc. things.... while in the process completely discombobulating his dashboard.
Mike had to get to work so I was left to pick up the pieces -Call the cops, file the report, wait for CSI to come to take finger prints, then get up with our insurance carrier... I didn't end up getting to work till 1... :/
Sucks when you've worked hard for what you have, then someone comes along and wants something for nothing at your expense. :(
ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Karma! Karma! Karma!
They'll get theirs!
Learn from our mistake, make sure your doors are locked folks!!
Hope you all had a good weekend, and hope all you Mothers out there had a wonderful Mothers Day!!!!
Time for me to catch some zZZzzz'z. CIAO y'all!

HE FED THE SEAGULLS?! Omg! That is a huge no-no. Well I am glad he knows now.
I am so sorry to hear about the truck :( I hope you guys get somewhere in finding out who did it. And I am super sad that it had to happen right before he leaves for the field!
Try and keep that head up girlie.
